Banana fabric is the world’s first durable, waterproof natural fabric made purely from Banana plants.

The Banana stem, considered a complete waste, is now being made into the banana fiber fabric which comes in differing weights and thicknesses based on what part of the banana stem the fiber was taken from. The innermost sheaths are where the softest fibers are obtained, and the thicker and sturdier fibers come from the outer sheaths.

Transforming the waste into the usable fabric and other products is a great achievement.
